History: Regina had a fairly normal childhood, and grew up in a medium-sized city in south Mississippi with her parents. She had a gentle touch and an interest in helping others heal from early on; on the playground, she was always the one with band-aids in her pockets, in case anyone fell or scraped a knee. When she began to learn heaing magic in school, she focused more on it than most other subjects-- which was great for her friends, but not fantastic for her grades. As she got older, she took an interest in joining the medical field, but she realized fairly quickly she would need a bit of help in the financial area to actually get there.
So, as a young adult, she took up a job focusing on her other main interest: sex.
Around age 20, Regina started working as a prostitute and a camgirl, indulging both her need for cash and her genuine enjoyment of sex, and of being close to other people. And, for several years, things actually worked out pretty well for her in this field-- of course, she had to be careful, but her interest in medicine made it fairly intuitive for her to keep an eye on her health and safety, although her judgement in clients was sometimes kind of lacking. Fortunately, her sweet, innocent nature endeared her to other workers in her field and other clients, and she somehow managed to escape any real danger or damage for quite a while.
Until her final client, that is.
Somewhere around age 26, Regina decided that she'd had her fun, but that things were getting more and more risky for her prostitution work; she would take one last client, and then drop back to focusing entirely on her camgirl work, as it was safer and a bit more calm and steady. The client she took claimed to be a fan of hers, someone who had sat in on many of her streams in the past. She agreed to meet him at his home for the evening.
When she arrived, she could sense that something about the house was... off, detect the faint, distant smell of chemicals, but she greeted him warmly, acted as though nothing were wrong. He lead her to his room, and closed the distance between them...
... and then thrust a needle into her neck.
When she "woke," she was bound and unable to move her body, tied to a cold, hard surface in a room where the walls and floor were covered in plastic sheeting, and the air smelled like blood and chemicals. Her "client" was there with her... and then he began to cut into her.
To spare the graphic details, the man was, in fact, a scientific necromancer, intending to use her body for research and experiments. He vivisected her, and then began removing parts from her, sending her rapidly into shock and all-but entirely killing her-- but then the reason for Regina's previous good fortune and safety in her career revealed itself.
An angel. Angels are, within her world, abstract beings of pure energy who are generally indifferent towards humans, seeing them as kind of like wild animals: there, and sometimes interesting, but not that heavy a focus of theirs. An angel had, however, taken a liking to Regina, and had been keeping an eye on her, tipping fate in her favor now and then, even just in slight ways. It enjoyed watching her go about her odd little life. When it sensed the intense suffering she was being subjected to, it leapt into action, manifesting itself into the human world for the first time-- inhabiting Regina's own body to heal it, and to slay the man who killed her with a blade of holy fire, reducing him entirely to ashes.
Unfortunately, the damage to Regina's body had been so incredibly severe that, though the angel could save her and replace what had been taken, marks would still linger on her body, scars from the incisions along her abdomen and skull; likewise, she had lost so much that, in order to keep her alive, the angel had to pour a bit of its own divine energy into her, effectively sealing the gaps with pieces of itself. Regina survived; but, as a result of what had to be done to save her, she became... different. The combination of an angel's bodiless nature with a human's physical body made her into something new, something unnatural, and it causes her-- and those around her-- to experience strange things. Rumors circulate online that people who see her image have been driven insane, becoming wholly obsessed with her or being so repulsed that they can't stand the sight of her; others claim they find it impossible to look directly at her. Still others insist they've seen strange shapes, eyes peering out of the shadows that fall on her skin, or a halo of strange light at the crown of her head.
Regina is still herself-- still simple and sweet, though heartbroken and terrified over what she experienced. She is learning to cope, and to find her place in the world with her new state; she's nervous about being seen now, about what she may do to someone without even intending to. She has been considering giving up her streaming career entirely, in light of the rumors of terrible things happening to those who watch her streams... though that leaves her unsure of what to do next, as she truly does enjoy her work.
Personality: Regina is gentle and kind, and incredibly affectionate; she loves and trusts nearly everyone she meets, and her emotions run deep and utterly genuine. She's very slow to anger, and is far more likely to cry than to lose her temper when treated poorly. She took an interest in sex work both because she genuinely enjoys sex-- and needs money-- and because she enjoys making others feel good, and helping others feel comfortable in their skin. She's nurturing and encouraging, and very patient and laid back; she's also, however, very outwardly flirtatious, and tends to hop right into using pet names for people who may as well be perfect strangers. Some people find her to be a bit too forward, though, if she's told that, she'll back off, as she only behaves the way she does out of a desire to make people feel good and liked.
However, she's also very... simple-- not dumb, but she simply doesn't think very deeply about most things, and she tends to miss a lot of subtle cues, particularly regarding human nature. She's often very slow to pick up on it when someone doesn't like her, or if someone means her harm, and more complex or abstract concepts tend to be difficult for her to understand.
She also enjoys recreational drugs... because, you know. Why not. She mostly sticks to safer, lighter fare, however, like weed.
Abilities & Skills: Back home, she's able to heal others by touch-- she was able to before her "death" and revival, but afterwards, that ability is heavily amplified by the angelic presence inside of her. However, once she starts pulling from her angelic energy to do it, she has to be careful, as overuse can lead to her expending too much of the energy and damaging herself; at first, she'll lose the ability to heal from new injuries, and, over time, if she continues to expend too much of that energy, her own, old wounds will reopen, eventually leading to her death. After all, that energy is holding her together.
She's also very patient with others, and very understanding; she's good at earning others' trust, for the most part, and is good at making people feel at ease.
Inventory/Companions: Just her clothes, and maybe her little coffin-shaped purse, if that's permissable! It just contains some makeup, a little Earth money in cash, condoms, etc.
Choice: Monster-- a cow faun
Reason: Her original concept involved heavy inspiration from various mother goddess mythology, most notably Hathor. Cows have, as such, been a huge part of her imagery and theming for years now. Also fauns are horny and it's Regina.
